What is the difference between a zester and a peeler?
A zester takes off fine threads of peel that you scatter over the drink. A peeler takes a wide strip that you squeeze over the glass for the oils and then lay in the cocktail as a twist.
What do you use a garnish clip for?
To hang a slice of fruit, a leaf or a flower over the rim of the glass without touching it with your fingers. That keeps the garnish clean and makes sure it stays upright.
How does a printing pen with edible ink work?
You use it to put a figure or logo on a dry surface such as the foam of a cocktail, chocolate or a slice of fruit. On a wet surface the ink runs and the drawing loses its lines.
Can garnish tools go in the dishwasher?
Stainless steel can, but blades and graters stay sharp longer if you rinse them by hand and dry them immediately. Store them separately afterwards, because rubbing against other steel costs the edge.
