What exactly is an old Dutch rummer?
A small glass with a rounded bowl on a short foot, traditionally used for jenever. The shape makes the glass stable on the table, so you can fill it to the rim without it tipping over easily.
What is the fill line on the glass for?
The line marks the legal serving measure, so every round contains the same amount. In hospitality that is compulsory when pouring spirits; at home it is mainly handy if you would rather not pour by feel.
How many glasses are in a pack?
The Intermezzo glasses are supplied in twelves. That number comes from hospitality, where breakage is simply part of the job, and at home it means you have plenty of glasses for a full table.
Should I choose 3.5 or 5 cl for jenever?
For jenever 5 cl is the usual measure and the rummer suits it best. The tuba of 3.5 cl is meant for a shorter, stronger drink or for liqueur served in a smaller amount.
