These two 63 cl Riedel Veritas wine glasses are designed for European syrah, such as that from the northern Rhône. The bowl brings out the peppery, violet-like finesse of this classic style with precision.
Rhône finesse
Old World syrah is more elegant and spicier than its overseas cousin; this bowl guides the wine so that pepper, violets, and black fruit come together in balance. The thin Veritas rim keeps the taste refined while the shape gathers the aromas. This Syrah glass belongs to the Riedel Veritas collection, with a shape for each grape variety.
Spicy and classic
A northern Rhône blend or a cool-climate syrah also comes into its own in this glass, with refined spiciness. Let the wine breathe for a moment to bring out its violet notes. If a glass still arrives damaged, report it in your account within three business days with a photo. You will receive a replacement glass or store credit, and you do not need to return the broken glass.

RIEDEL
RIEDEL is een Oostenrijks familiebedrijf dat teruggaat tot 1756 en nu in de elfde generatie wordt geleid. De glashut staat in Kufstein in Tirol, waar de dunwandige kelken met de mond worden geblazen; een tweede fabriek in het Duitse Weiden maakt de machinaal geblazen series. Het merk werd bekend doordat Claus J. Riedel eind jaren vijftig kelken ging ontwerpen per druivensoort.
In de praktijk koop je hier vorm in plaats van versiering. Elke kelk is samen met wijnmakers ontwikkeld, waarbij de breedte van de buik en de stand van de rand bepalen waar de wijn op je tong terechtkomt. Wie serieus met wijn bezig is zet Veritas of Vinum op tafel; voor dagelijks gebruik zijn de machinaal geblazen lijnen steviger. Er is ook glas voor bier, cocktails en koffie.
