Baileys Salted Caramel
Baileys Original with sweet caramel and a hint of sea salt. Sweet and salty at the same time, smooth as a dessert and best enjoyed ice-cold over ice, in coffee or over a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Baileys with a salty twist
Baileys Salted Caramel is the familiar Baileys Original Irish Cream, blended with the sweet, velvety taste of caramel and a hint of sea salt. The base remains what makes Baileys Baileys: Irish whiskey and cream, made by R&A Bailey & Co in Dublin. The salt does exactly what it does in a caramel dessert: it brings out the sweetness without making it sticky.
At 17% ABV, it is at the same level as the Original. The difference is entirely in the flavor: where the Original revolves around vanilla and cocoa, Salted Caramel is richer and sweeter, with that characteristic salty edge. This makes it work just as well as a dessert on its own as it does in coffee, a milkshake or a creamy cocktail.
In brief
Caramel, cream and a salty edge
Burnt sugar
Warm caramel and sweet cream, with familiar Baileys in the background.
Sweet and salty
Rich and velvety. The caramel is sweet, while the sea salt keeps it balanced and makes it less heavy than you might expect.
Creamy and lingering
A creamy finish in which the caramel lingers, with a lightly salty note at the end.
Flavor profile of Baileys Salted Caramel ice-cold over ice. At room temperature, the sweetness comes through more strongly.
How to serve Salted Caramel
Salted Caramel is at its best chilled. Straight from the fridge over ice, in coffee or as a sauce over dessert.
Over lots of ice
50 ml chilled Baileys Salted Caramel over a few large ice cubes in a tumbler. The melting ice makes it slightly lighter, so the caramel and salt are easier to taste.
Tumblers →Caramel coffee
30 ml Salted Caramel in a cup of hot coffee, optionally topped with whipped cream. You don't need to add any sugar: the caramel already sweetens the coffee.
Irish coffee glasses →As a dessert sauce or milkshake
Pour a splash over a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or blend 50 ml with two scoops of ice cream and 100 ml of milk for an adult milkshake.
The right glass →Cocktails with Baileys Salted Caramel
In any creamy cocktail with Baileys, you can replace the Original with Salted Caramel. It adds a salted caramel note.

White Russian

Mudslide
Vodka, coffee liqueur and Irish cream, shaken with ice. With Salted Caramel, it's a caramel dessert in a glass.
