Casamigos Reposado
The middle of the three Casamigos tequilas: seven months in American oak, long enough for caramel and cocoa, short enough to let the agave speak. A delight neat, and just a little rounder in an Old Fashioned or Margarita.

Seven months resting in whiskey barrels
Reposado means 'rested': a tequila that has spent some time in wood. Casamigos Reposado is made from 100% blue agave from the highlands around Atotonilco El Alto in Jalisco and aged for seven months in American oak barrels that previously held premium whiskey. The wood gives it a light golden color and notes of oak, caramel and cocoa.
Compared with Blanco, which is unaged and fresh, Reposado is rounder and warmer. Compared with Añejo, which is aged for fourteen months, it is lighter and lets the sweet agave come through more clearly. That makes it the most versatile of the three: soft enough to drink neat, yet with enough character for a cocktail in which tequila takes center stage.
In brief
Oak, caramel and cocoa
Soft oak
A soft woody note over sweet, cooked agave, with an initial hint of caramel.
Caramel and cocoa
Hints of caramel and cocoa with a silky texture. Fuller than Blanco, without the wood overpowering the agave.
Smooth
A smooth, soft finish in which the oak lingers for a while.
Flavor profile of Casamigos Reposado neat, at room temperature. An ice cube makes it softer and sweeter.
How to taste and mix Reposado
Reposado is made to be enjoyed neat, without salt and lime. If you mix it, choose cocktails where the wood can play a part.
Tasting neat
3 to 4 cl in a tulip-shaped tasting glass. Let it stand for a few minutes, smell it first, then take a small sip. Hold it in your mouth for a moment: that’s when the caramel and cocoa emerge.
